20181228    Ronin

The history of the 47 Rōnin (Japanese 四 十七  , Shijūshichi-shi), also Akō Rōshi (赤 穂 浪 ) is a famous event in Japan, in which 47 warriors avenged the death of their Lord.

The events are considered to be exemplary examples of the unconditional loyalty of the samurai (the term Rōnin refers to a stray samurai) and are in part counted among the national myths of Japan.
